Madison- State Representative Janel Brandtjen (R- Menomonee Falls) issued the following statement regarding Governor Walker’s budget address.

“Having been involved in the budgeting process for Waukesha County for a number of years I have developed a simple standard when it to comes budgets, is the budget as good as it can be?  Governor Walker has put forth a good budget.  The question I have is can the budget be better?  We have a large majority of conservatives in the Assembly and a solid conservative majority in the Senate.  With a leader like Scott Walker in the Governor’s mansion we need to take this opportunity to cut every unnecessary program, reduce every facet of government regulation and eliminate every dime of waste. As we go forward in the next few months I will insist that spending is at a minimum and private sector growth is at a maximum.  Now is time to get this done, not next session, not the session after but now.”
