FoxConn Update

A Menomonee Falls company, Staff Electric Co. Inc., has been awarded a bid to do electrical work at the Wisconn Valley Science and Technology Park. FoxConn continues to expand investment in Wisconsin with the purchase of a building to be used as an innovation center across the street from the State Capitol for $9.5 million.

Healthcare in Wisconsin

Earlier this week, Governor Evers announced that insurance premiums are expected to drop 3.2% in 2020. The Governor credited the “reinsurance” program put into place by former Governor Scott Walker in 2018. Reinsurance provides stop-loss protection to insurance companies for large payouts and catastrophic events, which allows insurance companies to lower their premiums.
Wisconsin has been a leader regarding insurance coverage with 95% of its citizens having health care coverage. Former Governor Scott Walker called Wisconsin a top 10 state for healthcare coverage in a tweet on May 30, 2019. Politifact-Wisconsin rated Walker’s claim true.

Sanctuary State? - Rally for Sanctuary in Wisconsin

My Democrat colleagues want to, “halt cooperation between Wisconsin law enforcement officials and federal immigration officials on matters of civil immigration enforcement, effectively making Wisconsin a “sanctuary state” for undocumented immigrants.”
Wisconsin democrats continue to put the interests of illegal immigrants above the interests of its citizens. The citizens of Wisconsin have a right to know who is coming into the country and headed to Wisconsin. Our families have a right to be safe from criminal activity. I will continue fighting to assure that Wisconsin families remain safe. No one is above the law in Wisconsin.
