After a year of working in an empty building, I’m excited to share the news that our State Capitol building is now fully open! Here’s what you need to know:

Hours:

• Monday through Friday: 8:00 a.m. — 6:00 p.m.
• Weekends/Holidays: 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Tours:

• Capitol tours will resume in July.
• The Tour Desk has returned to normal hours for visitor information.

Misc:

• Masks and social distancing is required for non-vaccinated people.
• All doors are now open for entrance.

I’m thrilled to get the school groups back into the Captiol for their tours. I love meeting with the kids and seeing the excitement on their faces as they admire the 104-year old building. It's a beautiful building and if you haven’t been here in a while, I recommend taking the trip out and making a day of it. Dane county will lift their restrictions tomorrow and the square has been mostly restored. The Capitol is the people’s house, paid for by the people, so come enjoy it!
