My office has been contacted by several small business owners wondering where to turn to for information on the Coronavirus and the various assistance programs available. The Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) has put together a great website that will answer all of your questions. From updates on which businesses are deemed “essential,” to help with applications for disaster loans and other available assistance programs.

The Legislative Fiscal Bureau (LFB) has a nice paper on the Family First Coronavirus Response Act that affects small businesses. The paper discusses who is covered under the act and the refundable federal tax credits for qualified emergency leave that small businesses may take advantage of.
