State Representative
Janel Brandtjen Outlines
Priorities for
Remaining Session:
De-Funding Planned Parenthood:
There
are three Pro-Life bills in the legislature that need to
be passed and signed into law before we adjourn this
session.
AB 305 prohibits the sale of aborted baby body
parts.
AB 310 requires the Department of Health Services
(DHS) to apply for Title X funds under the
federal Public Health Service Act and to distribute
funds received first to the Wisconsin Well−Woman Program
and public entities, including state, county, and local
health departments and health
clinics, and, if there are remaining funds, to certain
nonpublic entities.
AB 311 requires Medical Assistance (MA) to reimburse
providers for the actual cost of the drug and the
standard distribution rate, thus saving over 9 million
dollars.
It has
been a year since we have been exposed to the truth about
Planned
Parenthood's Activities. They do sell baby body
parts. They are not about women's health and they don't
provide mammograms. This isn't about a war on women, its
about a war on humanity and it is being waged by Planned
Parenthood using your tax dollars.
Municipal ID Cards:
As I pointed out in my last newsletter, Milwaukee County is planning on issuing
identification cards to residents of Milwaukee County. I
also reported that I was working on a bill to require
such cards to be clearly labeled "NOT for voting
proposes".
Since then, Rep. Sanfelippo and Senator
Wanggaard have introduced a bill that would require such
a label and I have cosponsored the measure. It is
extremely important to me and my constituents that the
integrity of our election process is protected.
AB 565:
AB 565 (Rep. Rob Brooks and Senator Duey Stroebel)
would change the way we fund road projects in Wisconsin.
Simply put we would use federal dollars for major
projects and fund the smaller projects with state
dollars. This change would allow us to avoid many
costly federal mandates saving millions upon millions of
dollars. Look, quite frankly, we could use the money!
Right?
God Bless Wisconsin!
