Volume 1 Issue 16

State Representative Janel Brandtjen:

Wisconsin's Budget has Potential:

Wisconsin is poised to be one of the most fiscally sound states in the country.  Our retirement system is fully funded, borrowing is as low as it has been in decades and the business climate is gaining momentum.  There are many opportunities looming in the next budget cycle to cement Wisconsin's fiscal future.  We should see an end to public financing of public radio. We should continue to reel in spending for the Knowles-Nelson stewardship program.  We must find a new way to build and maintain our roads. Although I understand that the current DOT leadership is dealing with decades of  dysfunction, Wisconsin's infrastructure is vital to our prosperity. The solution starts with prioritizing projects and completing them in a timely manner.   Finally we should continue to apply pressure to our university system. We can cut waste, fraud, prioritize spending and still offer quality education.

No Mammogram's at Planned Parenthood:

Planned Parenthood's President Ms. Richards admits to a congressional committee that she is not aware of Planned Parenthood having even one mammogram machine. After all these years of listening to Planned parenthood supporters tell us that women rely on Planned Parenthood for mammograms we find out that they don't provide them.  Ms. Richards also revealed in her testimony that 86% of their revenue comes from providing abortions. Of course they are a non-profit so what do they do with all that money?  Watch here.

Help Cure Childhood Cancer:

September is Childhood Cancer awareness month and I am the author of a bill to create distinguished license plates for Childhood Cancer. The measure is supported by the MACC fund and I can't think of a worthier cause.  The plates will be $40 annually of which $25 will go to the MACC fund to help find a cure for childhood cancer.

God Bless Wisconsin!
