The Week in Review
Innovation and
Expansion Continues in Oak Creek
Master Lock, a long-time staple of the Oak Creek community, is moving its
headquarters this year to a remodeled facility formerly occupied by
Caterpillar. The new facility, still located in Oak Creek, is a fully
renovated 120,000-square-foot campus, equipped with cutting edge technology
that will house a variety of different jobs including design, engineering,
testing, and product development.
I had the opportunity to tour the new facility this week. While Master Lock
is still in the process of renovating the facility, the upgrades are
impressive. The company is currently expanding and the new facility
demonstrates Master Lock’s commitment to innovation and growth.
Master Lock is known for creating some of the most reliable padlocks and
security products in the industry. However, new technology and innovation
has allowed the company to greatly expand its line of security products.
Master Lock President, Mike Bauer, explained the company’s innovative
approach and rapidly changing technology created the opportunity to grow the
Oak Creek location. The new design studios and labs will allow developers to
create products that are fully equipped with state-of-the-art technology.
Furthermore, the new space allows for streamlined product production
reducing the amount of time it takes for products to reach the market.
In addition, Master Lock intends to fill 30 open positions and the new
location can accommodate up to 480 people, allowing for anticipated growth.
It was exciting to see firsthand the exciting changes taking place at
Master Lock. Even better, the new facility demonstrates Master Lock’s
long-term commitment to the Oak Creek community!
Have a great week!
