Lights on Edgewood

South Milwaukee resident Bob Gray has caught the eye of quite a few including the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel for his alluring holiday light show aptly named “Lights on Edgewood.”

Mr. Gray spent more than a year programming and building a holiday light show at his home on Edgewood Avenue in South Milwaukee.

According to the article, he saw a YouTube video about two and a half years ago of a California home with a similar display that inspired his creative light show.

The entire program required computer software, hardware and thousands of LED lights in addition to several how-to videos. The Lights on Edgewood show runs approximately 20-30 minutes and changes nightly. The show even includes music on 101.5 FM, the radio frequency Mr. Gray rented for the program. State of the State Address

Following an invitation from Speaker Robin Vos and Senate President Roger Roth, the governor will deliver his second annual state of the state address before a joint session of the state legislature in the Assembly chambers on Wednesday, January 22. Every year, the governor is invited to join the legislature and provide an update of the state and his plans for the remainder of the legislative session. If you’re interested, you can tune in on wiseye.org.

Many employers, including some in our area, have expressed concerns regarding workforce issues. I’m eager to hear about the governor’s plan to help employers find qualified workers and continue Wisconsin’s trend of low unemployment.
