I hope this e-update finds you all healthy and safe. This will be my final e-update until after the November election. State law prohibits legislators who are up for re-election from sending more than 49 pieces of similar correspondence from their legislative offices. This law typically goes into effect much earlier in the year, but an exception to the rule was made this year due to the COVID-19 emergency and the need to communicate information and resources regarding the pandemic.
Even though you will not be receiving e-updates from me, you can follow my Facebook page, Twitter, and Nerd Power Channel for more frequent updates. You can also use the resources provided in this e-update to continue accessing up-to-date information on COVID-19 in our state and community.
As always, please do not hesitate to contact my office should you have any questions or need assistance.
In service,
Evan Goyke State Representative 18th Assembly District

CARES Act Updates
W.R.A.P.
The Wisconsin Rental Assistance Program (W.R.A.P.) can provide short-term financial assistance for eligible applicants. Milwaukee County residents should visit the Social Development Commission (SDC) website for details on how and when to access assistance:
We’re All In Small Business Grant Program will provide $2,500 grants to 30,000 Wisconsin small businesses to assist with the costs of business interruption or for health and safety improvements, wages and salaries, rent, mortgages and inventory.
The online grant application will be accessible for one week starting at 8:00 AM on Monday, June 15, through 11:59 PM on Sunday, June 21.
The Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) announced that more households will be eligible for the Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) during the COVID-19 pandemic. DHS has modified eligibility requirements in order to expand access to TEFAP. TEFAP supplies food pantries and distribution sites with the commodities, so all you need to do is call 2-1-1 and ask for the location and hours of the nearest TEFAP food pantry in your county. Eligibility guidelines are available here: https://www.dhs.wisconsin.gov/nutrition/tefap/eligibility.htm
TEFAP is not the same as the nutrition program called FoodShare Wisconsin. The FoodShare Wisconsin website explains how to get FoodShare benefits. There is a separate page showing FoodShare contacts for Milwaukee County. Applying for, or utilizing TEFAP will not impact your eligibility for these other benefits.
