PASSED - Wisconsin Fully Recognizes Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Businesses
This legislation creates parity between Wisconsin and the federal government in regards to its certification standards for service-disabled veteran owned businesses. Under the legislation, all Wisconsin business owners with a service connected disability rating from the US Department of Veterans Affairs will be eligible for certification by the State of Wisconsin.
This important piece of
legislation is pro-veteran and pro-business. It supplements the State’s
ongoing focus to support service-disabled veteran owned businesses and
entrepreneurs.

Authors Sheriff Sale Fairness Package
Milwaukee Journal Sentinel article link: Here
Earlier this month I authored a package of bi-partisan bills, with my colleague Rep. Terry Katsma (R-Oostburg), targeted at disrupting a business model used by bad actors in our neighborhoods. These individuals who do not have our community's best interest in mind purchase property at sheriff sale, while also owing property taxes, failing to maintain their properties, and continue to be complacent with letting these delinquent properties hinder a neighborhood's progress forward. I am working to end this practice.
Assembly Bill 690: Enables counties to host (or contract) sales of foreclosed properties via an Internet-based auction. Online auctions would be more accessible, and potentially less intimidating for bidders and investors in the neighborhoods that need them most. Increased competition could help drive up properties’ selling prices, making the bad actors’ current business model less lucrative and making fewer properties available to them at all.
Assembly Bill 691: Prohibits a buyer from acquiring a new property at a sheriff sale if the buyer is already more than 60 days delinquent on property taxes or building code judgments. We will stop letting this small group of delinquent landlords expand their enormous networks on our watch.
Rep. Goyke Legislation Passes State Senate
Assembly Bill 481/Senate Bill 390 - Family Treatment Courts
On October 31, important legislation I have worked on for multiple sessions passed the State Senate.
Stay tuned for updates on this important legislation as I will continue to work towards passage in the Assembly.
