State Programs / Agency Contacts
Navigating the myriad state agencies and government contacts can be a daunting task without a good guide.
- If you are looking for assistance or have general questions about a particular state program, please contact my office. My staff and I would be happy to assist you.
- You can also check the list of state agencies and what they have to offer by visiting this directory.
Blue Books / How a Bill Becomes a Law
State of Wisconsin Blue Books and the How a Bill Becomes a Law resource packet are available both through my office and the Assembly Chief Clerk's website:
- If you are interested in either of these items, please send me an e-mail with your name and address or call my office to request one.
- A PDF copy of How a Bill Becomes a Law is available here.
Legislative Citations and Plaques
An official citation from the state legislature is a wonderful way to recognize an outstanding achievement. The legislature regularly issues citations honoring people who have become Eagle Scouts, received the Girl Scout Gold Award, retired after a long career, proudly served in the Armed Forces, and many other notable accomplishments.
If my schedule permits, I make a point of attending events to which I am invited to present the citation in person. Please contact my office to arrange this process.
Travel Wisconsin Guides
I am reminded each and every day how fortunate I am to live in a state like Wisconsin. If you are looking to travel around our state in search of recreation, natural beauty, fine art, good restaurants, or state history, my office has a number of resources available to make planning your trip easier. You may also request these items directly from the Travel Wisconsin website.
Flag Requests
The Assembly Chief Clerk's office has both American and Wisconsin flags available for purchase. You may also choose to have the flag flown over the state capitol on behalf of someone and/or a special occasion. Flags flown over the capitol include a certificate of recognition.
U.S. Flag $12.00
Wisconsin Flag $12.00

Internship Opportunities
Many of the legislative staffers and my colleagues in the Assembly began their careers in the state capitol as interns. Their experiences equipped them with the knowledge of state government and the tools they needed to succeed professionally. If you are a college student, an internship with the Wisconsin State Assembly can be a very rewarding experience. I encourage you to contact my office if you are interested in applying. Simply submit your resume and a brief cover letter to my office by mail or e-mail.
Additional career opportunities are available in the legislature as well. If you would like your resume sent to a broader reach, please fill out the information requested.
