Steineke Re-Elected as Assembly Majority Leader
MADISON - Assembly Republicans voted to re-elect Representative Jim Steineke (R-Kaukauna) as the Assembly Majority Leader for the 2021-22 legislative session. Steineke has served as the Assembly Majority Leader for the last six years, providing the knowledge and guidance needed to move Wisconsin forward for families, businesses, and communities.
"I am incredibly proud to be serving as Majority Leader of the State Assembly once again, and humbled by the support of my fellow Republican caucus members," said Rep. Steineke. "I look forward to working alongside my colleagues in advancing our conservative ideals that benefit all of Wisconsin.”
Amid a global pandemic and a contentious political atmosphere, the state Assembly will benefit from strong, tested leadership in the coming two years. The Republican caucus voted for a Majority Leader with the experience, knowledge, and temperament needed to meet the challenges the new legislative session will bring.
“Our caucus is full of capable and intelligent legislators who are committed to the betterment of our state for our neighbors, families, and communities,” continued Rep. Steineke. “I am eager to once again lead our body and state forward.”
