Rep. Steineke Applauds Progress of Interagency Council on Homelessness

MADISON – Assembly Majority Leader Jim Steineke (R-Kaukauna) released the following statement regarding the “A Hand and a Home: Foundations for Success” plan adopted by the Interagency Council on Homelessness:

“Exactly one year ago today, Governor Walker signed into law a bill I had been working on for over a year. That bill, we hoped, would be the key to connecting stakeholders and difference-makers throughout our state in order to make real, lasting changes to end and prevent homelessness throughout Wisconsin. Today, I couldn’t be more proud to see that hope become a reality.

“The Interagency Council on Homelessness’ new plan will be another important step in addressing homelessness throughout our state. I look forward to continuing to advocate for this important cause and working alongside the Council as they continue to make strides towards ensuring everyone in Wisconsin has a place to call home.”
