Hi, , welcome to my e-update!

As we continue to navigate through this time I thank you for being an informed constituent of Wisconsin's 4th State Assembly District.

Bipartisan Budget Signed into Law

Earlier today, the bipartisan 2 year spending plan for the state was signed into law. The bill includes major investments in health care, education, and infrastructure, all while delivering significant tax cuts for Wisconsin families and individuals.

The legislature's bipartisan budget proposal was passed last week by majorities in the Assembly and Senate and included investments in mental health services, special education grants, and library system aids. In addition to investing in Wisconsin's schools, the spending plan also delivered significant funding for our deserving long-term care facilities and their staff.

"This budget is an opportunity to deliver historic tax cuts for Wisconsinites and invest in our state's future," said Rep. Steffen. "I am glad the Governor decided to enact the Republican tax cuts instead of raising taxes as originally planned."

The budget was passed by the legislature on a historic bipartisan vote, receiving 64 votes in the Assembly and 23 votes in the Senate.
