Progress on Coal Pile Relocation as Federal Funding Announced

Yesterday, the state announced its commitment to allocate $15 million to the redevelopment of the C. Reiss coal pile storage location in downtown Green Bay. Not only does this mean a dirty, unsightly coal storage facility will be removed from Green Bay’s scenic riverfront, it also will result in a $190 million taxable property that spans over a ¼ mile when this site is redeveloped.

For the last four years, I have worked with Green Bay city officials, port experts, and community leaders to move this project forward. Green Bay deserves a clean, attractive riverfront that businesses and community members can enjoy. It is with great enthusiasm that I watch this 60-year effort near completion.

Congratulations Cathy Becks!

I recently had the opportunity to attend a wonderful celebration of PCM Credit Union in Green Bay. Over 350 credit union members and their families took part in the event. It was also an honor to present Executive Vice President Cathy Becks with a citation recognizing her 42 years of service to the community. A big thank you to PCM Credit Union and Cathy for letting me be a part of this special event!
