As we continue to navigate through this time I thank you for being an informed constituent of Wisconsin's 4th State Assembly District.
Honoring Our First Responders
Our office is now accepting nominations from the 4th Assembly District for the 2021 First Responder of the Year Award. Created in 2019, this award highlights the great work the brave men and women of our emergency services do each and every day to keep our communities safe.
Nominees can include police officers, sheriff’s deputies, firefighters or any level of EMS personnel that you believe exemplify community service, selflessness, and dedication. One deserving individual will be selected from each Assembly district and invited to the State Capitol in Madison to be formally recognized on the Assembly floor during First Responders Appreciation Month in October.
Nominations are due to be returned to our office no later than Friday, October 8th. They can be submitted by sending the name, contact information and brief description of the candidate to Rep.Steffen@legis.wisconsin.gov.
Election Investigation Update
As your representative, I hear every week from constituents about their concerns over the November 2020 elections. Election integrity is very important to me, and I want to hear your thoughts on this issue.
It is my hope that the election audits currently in progress will move Wisconsin forward to ensure all future elections are fair and transparent. To hear an update from former Justice Gableman on his election audit, watch the full video message by clicking the image below:

We need your input!
Every 10 years, the legislature is responsible for updating Wisconsin’s district boundaries using the latest data from the U.S. Census Bureau, as required by the Wisconsin Constitution. This data was recently made available by the federal government. Now it is time to update the boundaries, and we are looking for input! If you have an idea for the updated district maps, submit your plans here between September 1, 2021 and October 15, 2021: drawyourdistrictwisconsin.com.
If you have any comments regarding the subject of this E-Update, please feel free to contact me.
