As we continue to navigate through this time I thank you for being an informed constituent of Wisconsin's 4th State Assembly District.
Green Bay Coal Pile Relocation Project
On Wednesday I testified before the Senate Committee on Natural Resources and Energy in favor of my bill, SB406/AB389, that would direct federal funding towards port expansion and the relocation of the coal piles from downtown Green Bay’s riverfront. This project would result in $200 million in economic redevelopment opportunities and I am excited for the progress it has made in and out of the state legislature. It’s time to move these coal piles from the heart of downtown Green Bay to a location more suitable for their storage.
Packers Preseason Has Begun
The Packers have begun their preseason with a matchup against the Texans in week 1. On the schedule this weekend is a game against the New York Jets at Lambeau Field. The regular season will begin September 12th with the opening game against the New Orleans Saints. If you are looking for activities to take the family to, preseason games are a great way to show support for the community and enjoy all that Green Bay has to offer!
We need your input!
Every 10 years, the legislature is responsible for updating Wisconsin’s district boundaries using the latest data from the U.S. Census Bureau, as required by the Wisconsin Constitution. This data was recently made available by the federal government. Now it is time to update the boundaries, and we are looking for input! If you have an idea for the updated district maps, submit your plans here between September 1, 2021 and October 15, 2021: drawyourdistrictwisconsin.com
If you have any comments regarding the subject of this E-Update, please feel free to contact me.
