Community First

Many of us remember the destruction wrought on our community by rioters not too long ago. I remember, and I hope to never see it again. That’s why I co-sponsored Assembly Bill 279, which would prohibit participation in a riot, and penalize individuals that block roads during a riot.

We can’t protect speech if we can’t protect each other, and we can’t protect speech if we can’t protect our community. Riots are a danger to public safety. It’s time we stand to prevent the destruction of our communities from happening again.

This week is National School Choice Week! I support families being allowed to choose the best K-12 educational options for their children. Empowering parents with this choice means kids can learn in the way that’s best for them.
