Sporting Freedom

I am proud to vote to protect and preserve Wisconsin’s rich history in sporting. Hunting, fishing, and trapping have been important facets of Wisconsin’s history for decades. This week the Assembly voted on several bills to provide more opportunities for sportsmen and women, and secure sporting rights for those who call Wisconsin home. The Wisconsin Sporting Freedom Package recognizes the important relationship between the state’s economy and Wisconsin’s sportsmen and women.

Protecting Your Rights

This week, the Assembly voted on a number of bills that secure and preserve Second Amendment rights for Wisconsinites.

The ability to protect oneself is a right for all Americans, protected by the Second Amendment’s guarantee to firearm ownership. I will continue to support the right to safe, legal firearm ownership for Wisconsinites.

Here are a list of pro-2^nd Amendment bills I am proud to co-sponsor:

AB 495: Possession of a firearm in a vehicle on school grounds by a person with a license to carry a concealed weapon.

AB 518: Reciprocity for out-of-state licenses to carry a concealed weapon.

AB 597: Possession of a firearm by a licensee in a place of worship located on the grounds of a private school.

Hearing from the Public

This week I attended several hearings on a number of bills making their way through the legislature. Listening to testimony on bills from their authors as well as those affected by the legislation is a great way to learn about what the bill does and how it impacts the state of Wisconsin.
