On occasion, I will also profile some of our great Green Bay area people and programs that make our community a better place. I hope you enjoy it!
Featured This Week
Assembly Bill 1 passed in the Wisconsin State Assembly with bipartisan support and ensures insurance coverage for pre-existing conditions. It would also eliminate any requirement that an individual would be subject to lifetime or annual caps.
Ensuring that my constituents with pre-existing conditions have access to affordable health insurance was a top priority for me. I am happy that this was the first bill that we took up this session as it is of utmost importance.
This week, Governor Evers gave his State of the State address. While Governor Evers’ tone was surprisingly divisive, I remain hopeful he will work with me and the legislature on common sense legislation. My legislative proposals currently under development are exclusively bi-partisan in nature and I remain optimistic that my Democrat and Republican colleagues will join me on advancing these common-sense, common-ground proposals that move Wisconsin forward.
I was honored to receive the Legislative Excellence Award this week from Wisconsin’s Dairy Business Association. The dairy industry is essential to Wisconsin's economic success and I will always be supportive of our family farmers who are an essential part of our state’s history and future.
