Tax Cut Graphic 1/17/19

This week I announced a major new proposal that allows Wisconsin families to keep more of their hard-earned money. The proposal delivers $340 million in tax relief for middle class families and is fully funded through the state’s budget surplus.

Wisconsin’s economy is the best that it has been in decades. Low unemployment, increasing incomes and pro-growth reforms have all contributed to this strong economy. Furthermore, Wisconsin’s tax burden is now the lowest it has been in nearly 50 years.

Wisconsin Unemployment Rate Update

Yesterday, the monthly jobs report was released. The state's unemployment remains at or below 3% for the 11th straight month. This is great news for Wisconsin!

With a statewide unemployment rate so low, it is critical that we make investments in workforce development to ensure we have the workers that we need.
