Suicide is the 10th leading cause of death in Wisconsin. The time is right to study and work to remedy this devastating trend. This bipartisan task force, led by Representative Joan Ballweg (Chair) and Representative Steve Doyle (Vice-Chair), traveled around the state to hear from survivors, experts, advocates and families who have been impacted.

As part of this task force, legislators are tasked with evaluating the current resources for suicide prevention in our state and identifying opportunities to target and assist at-risk individuals. The interim report and policy recommendations were released on September 25, 2019 with the goal of supporting those struggling, promoting trainings to recognize the signs and stopping the rising trend of suicide in Wisconsin

Please don't hesitate to contact the task force with any questions or comments. We would be happy to hear your input.
