It’s time to get to work on lowering health costs

Senator Vinehout reacts to the Supreme Court decision

Madison- “It’s time to get to work to solve the health insurance problems of the farmers, small business and the self-employed,” said Senator Kathleen Vinehout (D Alma).

“President Obama provided an opportunity for Wisconsin. The Supreme Court kept this opportunity alive. Now leaders need to take responsibility and get to work to bring affordable health to more than a million Wisconsinites.

“Our families and neighbors need the Governor and Legislative leaders to make affordable health care a reality for all Wisconsinites,” said Vinehout.

“Last fall I proposed and introduced a uniquely Wisconsin affordable health insurance exchange. It is time to hold public hearings and make the necessary decisions to bring affordable health care to small businesses and farmers in Wisconsin,” said Vinehout.

“The Supreme Court upheld the law. The ball’s been passed to us. Now it’s time for Wisconsin leaders to get to work,” concluded Vinehout.
