Reedsburg High School student Jordyn Schara has organized two community events that have collected and safely disposed over 800 pounds of unwanted prescription, over-the-counter (OTC), and veterinary drugs plus sharps, personal care products and mercury. Darren R McCarthy, a member of Boy Scout Troop 81 of Richland Center, has achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. McCarthy constructed a handicapped accessible fishing pier at North Park Pond in Richland Center to achieve the Boy Scouts of America’s most honored rank. In Iowa County, Arena leaders met with area business folk in September 2007 about the village as a partner to grow and attract businesses by tapping into powerful tools including the village's Community Development Authority and Tax Incremental Financing District, plus revolving loan funds, state programs and a myriad of other economic development resources. Dale shared ways his office is able to assist businesses. Platteville Development Group, Inc. presented a $10,000 donation to Jeff Nania, founder of the River Crossing Environmental Charter School. The donation will further the educational mission of the River Crossing Environmental Charter School.

The Midvale Farm near Rock Springs has benefited from Pfaff family’s stewardship since 1869 when it was founded by Jacob Pfaff. At the request of Senator Dale Schultz and Representative Sheryl Albers the state legislature recognized the Pfaff family, past and present, for their outstanding contribution to Wisconsin agriculture and the farm’s recent distinction as Wisconsin Century Farm.
Mauston - New Lisbon Airport
Dale held office hours at the Mauston - New Lisbon airport. Airport Board President Doug Wells explained a project underway that will significantly enhance the airport's value as an essential asset to attract new employers and accommodate the continued growth of existing employers.
Juneau County Fair
While at the Juneau County Fair, Dale took a moment to discuss agriculture issues with Brian from WCOW 97 radio, the flagship station of the Sparta-Tomah Broadcasting Company group of stations.
Brenner Tank
Dale was at Brenner Tank, LLC in Mauston recently to talk with General Manager John Barrett and Barbara Martin, Director, Greater Mauston Area Development Corporation. They are standing behind new Brenner-built stainless steel tanker trucks. Skilled workers at Brenner and Walker Stainless Equipment Co in New Lisbon have a national reputation for excellence in stainless steel welding and fabrication. That enabled Juneau County to attract a high-technology aerospace firm building stainless steel rocket fuel tanks.

Senator Dale Schultz is providing an internship for high school senior, Alison Zinna this summer. Zinna whose father Mark owns Stoneman’s Mill bakery in Platteville, is working in Schultz’s Capitol Office to gain first hand experience that will help her college goals.
