Flood Response 2007

Work is underway to help hundreds of flood damage victims and southwest Wisconsin communities recover from the destructive storms that took place over a period of weeks starting July 18 in Bagley in Grant County.

The FEMA disaster declaration in August covering Crawford, LaCrosse, Richland, Sauk and Vernon counties will help offset millions in damage to homes, businesses, crops and public infrastructure.  FEMA has made damage assessments and begun distributing aid that usually only partially covers recovery costs.

For Wisconsinites, storms, floods and blizzards are unpredictable, but the response is predictable: Neighbors help neighbors, volunteer and charitable groups are God sends, and our community is generous and compassionate. To all who help the victims of these storms - thank you.

This page highlights opportunities for you to help and resources to assist flood victims.  Please forward this page to spread the word.  Together, we can help recovery efforts.
