Dale helped by arranging visits by leaders from the private and public sector to see the firm's new biomass generator. The generator is now drawing rave reviews, and help, from the state's Office of Energy Independence, Alliant Energy and Dairyland Power Cooperative.

At the Alliant Energy Nelson Dewey plant in Cassville, Dale saw how biomass is becoming part of our energy future and Southwest Wisconsin is a leader for bioenergy research and development. In the photo, pellets made from a byproduct of ethanol production at the Badger State Ethanol plant in Monroe are mixed with coal to generate electricity.

Reedsburg High School student Jordyn Schara has organized two community events that have collected and safely disposed over 800 pounds of unwanted prescription, over-the-counter (OTC), and veterinary drugs plus sharps, personal care products and mercury. Dale was there to thank Jordyn for her initiative and leadership to prevent drinking water contamination and teen drug abuse.
