State Senator Neal Kedzie (R-Elkhorn)
was elected to the Wisconsin State Senate, 11th
District seat in the November 2002 election, and
was re-elected November 2006 and November 2010.

Senator Kedzie has served in prior years as the
Assistant Majority Leader and Chair of the
Senate Natural Resources and Transportation
Committee and the Chair of the Special Committee
on the Great Lakes Water Resources Compact. On
a regional level, he served on the Midwestern
Legislative Conference Agriculture and Natural
Resources Committee.
Prior to being elected to the Senate, Senator Kedzie served three terms in
the Wisconsin State Assembly, 43rd District.
During his tenure in the Assembly, Senator
Kedzie served as the Chairman of the Environment
Committee, Vice-Chairman of the Joint Committee
on Tax Exemptions, and served as a member on
several other committees including Financial
Institutions, Natural Resources, and Aging and
Long Term Care.
As part of his interest in maintaining cooperative state and local
government relations, Senator Kedzie serves as a
member of the Walworth County Local Emergency
Planning Committee and meets regularly with
other local government officials. He has
also served as a member of the Black Point
Historic Preserve, and was a key individual in
its listing as a Historic Site in Wisconsin.
Senator Kedzie served as Chairman of the
LaGrange Town Board from 1988 through 1998. He
also was the Chairman of the LaGrange Planning
and Zoning Commission. Senator Kedzie was an
eleven-year member of the Lauderdale-LaGrange
Fire Department and currently holds the rank of
Major in the Civil Air Patrol.
Professionally, Senator Kedzie has a business
and communications background having formerly
worked as Local Relations Representative for
Wisconsin Electric Power Company and as
Commercial/Industrial Coordinator for Wisconsin
Southern Gas Company.
Senator
Kedzie has resided in Walworth County for more
than 37 years. The Kedzie family lives in rural
Elkhorn; Senator Kedzie is married and has three
children.
