Capitol Tours

Madison is home to a beautiful and scenic State Capitol. The Wisconsin State Capitol stands a few feet shorter than the Federal Capitol Building at Washington, D.C.  Each year, more than 500,000 people, including school groups, vacationers, federal legislators, architectural scholars, foreign heads of state, and others visit the State Capitol.

In addition to housing the Wisconsin State Senate and Assembly, the Capitol is home to the Wisconsin Supreme Court, the Offices of the Governor and Attorney General and other supporting agencies and staff.

Free Capitol tours are conducted daily from 9:00-11:00 AM and 1:00-4:00 PM.

You may schedule a Capitol tour online.
