Legislative Session Update

The 2013-2014 Legislative Session has concluded for the year, unless a special session is called. While some special and standing committees will meet and conduct hearings, other legislative activities, such as introducing legislation and conducting Senate floor votes, will be halted until the next legislative session begins in January 2015.

Additionally, Wisconsin State Statute 11.33 stipulates that a state senator who is up for re-election may not distribute 50 or more pieces of substantially identical written or email communications from their Senate office between the first day for circulation of nomination papers and Election Day. Therefore, I will no longer be able to distribute the Larson Report until after Tuesday, November 4, 2014.

However, in an effort to keep you up-to-date on the latest in state news and community happenings, I will continue posting regularly to Facebook and Twitter. I encourage you to follow me on Twitter @SenChrisLarson and connect with me on Facebook at www.facebook.com/SenatorChrisLarson.

Please do not hesitate to contact me to offer suggestions for any of these social media posts, or regarding any questions you might have about this temporary change to the Larson Report. The normal weekly distribution of the Larson Report will resume when legislative activities pick up again in January 2015.
