Farm Tech Days Coming to Western Wisconsin
Wisconsin Farm Technology Days, the largest agriculture exposition in Wisconsin, is coming to Western Wisconsin later this month. This annual event showcasing advances and improvements in agriculture is hosted by a different county each year. The Roger and Beverly Peterson Family farm in Pierce County was selected to be the site for the 2010 event, which will take place from July 20-22. The Peterson Family farm is located south of River Falls on State Road 29.
Farm Technology Days offers producers and the public the opportunity to discover and learn more about products and services available to agricultural producers to update their operations or improve efficiency. Over 500 exhibitors have registered to participate in Farm Technology Days, providing information and demonstrations on the latest technological advances for producers. Exhibitions ranging from animal health to milking equipment to silo repair will be presented.
In addition to the exhibitors, a number of organizations and agricultural trade groups will be presenting information at Farm Technology Days. Government agencies including the USDA, UW-Extension, and Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection will also be taking part in the event. A number of attractions and performers have been lined up to provide entertainment for those attending

I had the opportunity to attend the 2009 Farm Technology Days that was held at the Crave Brothers Farm in Dodge County and am excited that this year’s event will provide an opportunity to showcase agriculture in western Wisconsin and bring in many visitors and exhibitioners to our region. I encourage you to attend the 2010 Farm Technology Days and hope to see you there!
