Wisconsin Exports Increase in First Half of the Year
The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP) and the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) both recently released figures showing Wisconsin’s growth in exports for the first half of the year.  DACTP reported that Wisconsin exported $1.5 billion worth of agriculture products to over 132 countries, an increase of 5% from 2011.  WEDC reported Wisconsin’s exports totaled $11.6 billion with increases in exports of industrial machinery, agricultural products, vehicles, and medical and scientific instruments.  Wisconsin’s total exports grew by 7.9% with industrial machinery leading as the top exported product, up 13% from 2011.
