If you will be visiting Madison in the coming weeks, you are encouraged to stop by the State Capitol to view this year’s Christmas tree, which has been beautifully decorated with ornaments made by school children from all across the state. The State Capitol is open weekdays from 8:00 to 6:00 p.m. and weekends from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Free tours are offered daily and start at the information desk, which is on the ground level. For more information on visiting the State Capitol, please click here.
Also, you may be interested in visiting the Governor’s Executive Residence for a guided tour during which time you will be able to hear a brief history of the Executive Residence and view rooms on the first floor with many uniquely decorated Christmas trees.
