Later this month the University of Wisconsin-Stout will receive the Ann Lydecker Educational Diversity Award by the Wisconsin State Council on Affirmative Action at the State Capitol. The award honors UW-Stout’s efforts to blend diversity-based concepts into its curriculum in an attempt to increase the retention rate of a diverse student population. Staff and faculty have worked to gain a better understanding of an inclusive curriculum as well as developing and strengthening their curriculums to include diversity concepts. The award is named in honor of Ann Lydecker, who was chancellor at UW-River Falls when she was tragically lost in a car accident in 2004.
Congratulations to UW-Stout on receiving this award!
