The St. Croix Economic Development Corporation named three businesses as recipients of their 2011 business of the year awards. St. Croix EDC President Ryan Sicard said these businesses reflect the diversity of businesses in the county. The businesses that are being honored are:
-Future Farm Food and Fuel, LLC located in rural Baldwin was named 2011 Emerging Business of the Year. The business produces sustainable and locally grown food, fuel and natural fertilizer as well as provides consulting services to other dairy operations.
-Stevens Engineers of Hudson was named the 2011 Small Business of the Year. For 39 years, Stevens has provided professional engineering and planning services to a wide-ranging group of clients in both the public and private sector.
-Sajan, Inc. in River Falls was named 2011 Business of the Year and is recognized as the leading global provider of cloud-based language translation services and software. The founders of Sajan recognized the need for language translation in global commerce and also provide consulting and solution services to clients from a diverse set of industries.
