You may have seen Salvation Army volunteers ringing bells around town again this holiday season. This year's Red Kettle Campaign is going on to support the Salvation Army's good work in northwest Wisconsin, which includes a wide range of important services from Grace Place, to the food pantry, to emergency disaster services, and others.
For the 5th year running, Jeremy Lilyquist and Derek Gilbert are ringing for a 30-Hour Marathon at the County Market in Hudson. The goal of the marathon is to raise $75,000 over two days for the Salvation Army of St. Croix County. I was pleased to join Derek and Jeremy for bell ringing on Thursday afternoon, and I continue to be impressed by the generosity of the community in giving to help those in need.
I encourage you to donate when you see a red kettle to help Salvation Army of St. Croix County reach its goal of $150,000 by January 1. Happy Holidays!
