The federal legislation to allow the construction of a new St. Croix River Crossing was approved by the House Committee on Natural Resources on a 30-14 vote on Wednesday. This legislation, supported by a bipartisan group of federal elected officials from both Wisconsin and Minnesota, now may be taken up for a vote by the full U.S. House of Representatives. Similar legislation in the U.S. Senate has also been proposed and has received a committee hearing.
