With the subzero temperatures we’ve had this winter, it is nice to look ahead to the summer months and plan fun, outdoor activities. The Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is hosting their annual Free Outdoor Fun Weekend on June 7th and 8th. The Free Fun Weekend allows anyone to enjoy the many parks, lakes, and trails across the State of Wisconsin without first obtaining a sticker, license, or paying an admission fee.
The DNR is waiving all state trail pass fees and park admissions. Additionally, no fishing license will be required to fish on any state waterways. The DNR will also have free equipment located at many state parks and DNR offices. For more information to plan your weekend, visit the DNR website at dnr.wi.gov or click here.
