The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP) has issued a recall on pasties produced by Grammy’s Pasty’s. Grammy’s Pasty’s is a Green Bay business that is voluntarily recalling the pasty product and working with the department to collect as much product as possible. DATCP indicated in their press release that the affected products have the Julian date of 88-16, 81-16, 74-16, 60-16 and 54-16 on the label or on the package.
The pasties included in the recall were sold at retail stores as well as wholesaled by distributors throughout the state prior to March 29, 2016. All products were packaged individually in a clear plastic bag with the product label on the front of the package, nutritional information and Julian date on the back. Wholesale product is packaged individually as well with 20 pasties to a box that has the product label and Julian date on the box.
No illnesses have been reported as a result of consuming these products. Anyone with signs or symptoms of foodborne illness should contact a physician.
