A public meeting has been scheduled to discuss the expansion study for the I-94 corridor between Hudson and Baldwin. The roadway improvements included in the plan will bring safety and economic growth to the area as the I-94 corridor is a crucial transportation route for both freight and passenger traffic. The meeting will be held on Tuesday, August 13th, at the Roberts Community Park Building, located at 312 North Park Street from 5 to 7 p.m.
Currently, the study area includes reconstruction of the deteriorated pavement while expanding I-94 with three travel lanes in each direction to improve freeway operations. Also, bridges over Kinney Road, 100th Street, and 130th Street would be reconstructed. Construction is projected to begin in 2018.
Public input is encouraged at the meetings. Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) representatives will be available to discuss the project at the meeting. If you are unable to attend the meeting and have questions or concerns, contact Mohamed Hayek of WisDOT at 715-836-2065.
