A public meeting has been scheduled to discuss the Hwy 64 Freeway Conversion Study. This study is a planning and preservation project that seeks to ensure the safety and mobility of both freight and passenger traffic on Hwy 64. The meeting will be held on Wednesday, November 6th, at the Somerset High School multipurpose room from 5 – 7 p.m. A brief presentation will begin at 5:30 p.m.
Independent of the St. Croix River Crossing project, this study is designed to identify the necessary future improvements and right-of-way needs to convert the roadway to a freeway and expressway. If you live, work, or travel on or near the Hwy 64 corridor, you are encouraged to attend the meeting to provide input and receive feedback from WisDOT officials. The presentation will cover several alternatives and include information as to why these improvements are necessary. If you are unable to attend the meeting, or would like more information, please feel free to contact Jeff Abboud at 715-855-7661 or by e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org.
