On Saturday, June 8, the Department of Natural Resource is inviting citizens to attend a public meeting to receive updates and ask questions about the progress of the Deer Trustee Report (DTR). Dr. James Kroll, the Governor-commissioned report author, will be in attendance.
At the meeting, the DNR will give an update on progress made, addressing questions and collecting feedback on implementation proposals that are moving forward. Governor Scott Walker developed the “Deer Trustee” position to review programs, activities, and efforts by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources to help better manage the white-tailed deer herd.
The meeting will take place from 10am to 12pm at UW-Stevens Point Dreyfus University Center, 1015 Reserve Street. For more information, visit dnr.wi.gov and search keywords, “Deer Trustee Report.”
