Grants Available for Buy Local, Buy Wisconsin
As interest in locally-sourced food continues to grow in Wisconsin, the Department of Agriculture, Trade, and Consumer Protection (DATCP) administers Buy Local, Buy Wisconsin grants to further support and expand Wisconsin’s agriculture and food industries. Grants are available to individuals, groups, and businesses involved in various aspects of agriculture and food production, including food processing and distribution, retail food establishments, and more.
Currently there is $200,000 in grant funds available under this program with a maximum award of $50,000 per project. Grant applicants must provide cash or in-kind match equivalent to or greater than 50% of the total cost of the project.
Proposals are due on October 21 and must include a cover page, budget template, and three-page project description.
