The 10th annual Wisconsin Governor’s Business Plan Contest will be accepting entries online until Thursday, January 31st. The contest was developed to help entrepreneurs use their ideas to launch a company and gain feedback from mentors as well as interaction with investors and other professionals. Finalists could win more than $100,000 in cash and in-kind prizes. Initial entries will consist of a 250 word idea abstract and contestants who advance will expand their plan in different stages of topics, including finance and technology. Wisconsin residents 18 years old and up are eligible to enter, as well as businesses or teams from outside the state if they demonstrate an intent to base their business in Wisconsin.
