Enhancing Driver Safety
In an effort to bring awareness to the importance of attentive driving, April has been designated nationally as Distracted Driving Awareness month.  The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (DOT) is partnering with the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin and State Farm Insurance to invite the public to participate in Distracted Driving Awareness month by focusing on teen driver safety.  On Tuesday, April 22nd, Facebook and Twitter users are encouraged to change their status or post a message about the importance of engaged driving and use the promotion hashtag “#DriveEngaged.”  To participate, you can also include a message about driving engaged in the signature line of your email.  For more information on this initiative and sample posts, please click here.  You may also check out the Drive Safe website by clicking here.
