Earlier this year I had the opportunity to meet with staff from BRIDGE for Youth and Adults with Disabilities, a non-profit organization located in Hudson. BRIDGE provides important support for individuals with disabilities in the St. Croix River Valley. The organization offers life skills training and social and recreational opportunities for their clients, such as cooking classes, dances, and community field trips.
Additionally, BRIDGE helps those who are seeking sustainable employment within their communities. BRIDGE is continually interested in forming partnerships with area employers, and I commend BRIDGE’s efforts to network with employers to help individuals with disabilities find valuable employment options in the community.
BRIDGE, along with similar organizations, plays a vital role in providing services to those in our communities with disabilities that are beneficial to participants, families, and businesses alike.
