The Department of Health Services (DHS) is working to improve and stabilize Wisconsin’s medical assistance programs, including BadgerCare, SeniorCare, and Family Care, and is seeking your input. DHS recently unveiled a new website that provides detailed information about proposed changes to medical assistance programs. Included on the website is a form you can fill out to share your thoughts, concerns and experiences. The suggested reforms are part of the Department’s effort to address a $500 million deficit in our medical assistance programs.
You can submit your thoughts and suggestions through the DHS website or by mail. All submitted comments will be considered by DHS before they formally submit their proposed changes to the federal government. For more information on their plans and reforms and to share your thoughts, go online to www.dhs.wisconsin.gov/MAreform/index.htm
