Commission on Waste, Fraud, and Abuse report finds millions in savings
The Commission on Waste, Fraud, and Abuse recently released their final report, with recommendations that they believe could have a total annual savings to taxpayers of $445 million. The recommendations address both local and state government operations.  Already state agencies have started to implement some of the cost saving measures discussed by the Commission, including creating the Office of the Inspector General to address fraud in public assistance programs.
