Celebrate Flag Day
Flag Day is today, June 14, a holiday that commemorates the adoption of the flag of the United States by the Second Continental Congress in 1777. On Flag Day citizens are urged to fly the American flag and celebrate all that it represents, freedom, liberty, democracy, and national pride. 2016 marks the 100th anniversary of Flag Day, which was first officially celebrated in 1916 by a proclamation of President Woodrow Wilson.
During your day, take a few moments to celebrate our nation’s flag and the values that make our country great.
