Bill to Increase Math and Science Credits Clears State Legislature
During the fall session the State Legislature passed a bill that will require students to take three credits of math and science instead of two to graduate from high school. As manufacturing jobs become more technical, companies increasingly need employees who have a higher level of knowledge and skills. This legislation takes another step towards preparing students for the workforce after graduation and closing the skills gap.
