Be Ready- September is Preparedness Month in Wisconsin
Take time this month to make sure you and your family have a plan in case of a disaster. Wisconsin Emergency Management's ReadyWisconsin campaign is underway to encourage Wisconsinites to be ready in case a disaster happens. Everyone should have a plan that includes information on where to go during an emergency and how to communicate with loved ones if separated in a crisis. In case of emergency, you will be glad to be prepared.
When putting together your family emergency plan, make sure you have a contact list that contains current phone numbers of families and friends who could assist during an emergency. Also have medical information including contact information for your physician and a list of any medications or allergies. Carry a copy of the information in your wallet and have one in your disaster kit.
